Meal Plans How does my student sign up for a meal plan?
On-Campus - Freshmen are automatically assigned the Two-A-Day plan unless they choose a different plan. Returning students are assigned the same plan they had the prior semester, unless they choose a different plan. The deadline for making meal plan changes is the third Friday from the start of each semester.
Off-Campus - Off-campus students may select any commuter meal plan or resident meal plan. Off-campus students who sign up for a fall meal plan will automatically be enrolled in the same meal plan for the spring semester, unless they request a change.

How does my student change their meal plan?
Students have until the third Friday of each semester to choose a different plan. Students can change their meal plan online, at the BASC Business Office located on the first floor of Brockway Hall or by calling Dining Services at (585) 395-2570. The change will then be reflected on your student bill.

Where can my student use their meal plan?
Depending on the plan you have, you either have "meals", Dining Dollars, or a combination of the two. "Meals" can only be used at one of the all-you-care-to-eat dining halls (Brockway and Harrison). Dining Dollars can be used at any dining location, although the best value is to use them at the dining halls.
Back to top. What are "meals per week"?
Our commuter Any Five Plan contains a designated number of meals per week. These are all-you-care-to-eat meals that can be used in either Brockway or Harrison Dining Halls. Each time you use a meal, one is subtracted from your balance, and the number of meals remaining will display at the point of sale. Weekly meals are reset each Monday morning. Meals are for the meal plan holders use only.
Back to top. What are Dining Dollars?
Most meal plans come with a designated amount of Dining Dollars. Accessed through your Eagle One card, Dining Dollars act as a debit account for students to make meal purchases. Students like the flexibility of Dining Dollars because they can be used at any dining location on campus. And, you'll save 8% (New York State Tax) when you spend Dining Dollars instead of cash. When you make a purchase using Dining Dollars, that amount will be deducted from your account and the remaining account balance will display at the point of sale. You can add Dining Dollars to your account at anytime.
Back to top. Do Dining Dollars roll over from semester to semester?
Dining Dollars roll over from the fall to spring semesters (provided you sign up for a spring meal plan), but do not roll over from academic year to academic year.

How can my student view their Dining Dollar balance?
Your Dining Dollar balance displays each time you make a purchase. You can also view your account balance online or call the Business Office at (585) 395-2570.

How can my student add more Dining Dollars?
Dining Dollars can be added via credit card online or by calling the Business Office at (585) 395-2570. If paying by cash or check, please stop by the Business Office located on the first floor of Brockway Hall. Parents can add money to their student's account online if they know their student's banner ID #.
Back to top. Are meal plans mandatory?
All resident students (with the exception of those living in the townhomes) must enroll in a meal plan. Resident Halls are not equipped with kitchens suitable for daily cooking.

Recipe from Home Contest
What is the Recipe from Home Contest?
Each fall Dining Services holds a recipe from home contest where parents can submit their student's favorite recipe. Chefs review the entries and select top finalists. A taste-off takes place in both dining halls where students sample the finalist recipes and vote for their favorite. The winning recipe is added to our regular menus at Brockway and Harrison Dining Halls for all our students to enjoy. The winning student and parent(s) also receive a prize.
